Workday Grinding

Day8

13 hours on the job, then code

After working from 6 am until 7 pm in the hot, Florida heat, I'm just now sitting down to my computer to get down to business. I'm writing this in a hurry to ensure I have the most time possible before I conk out for the night. I work at a golf course here in Sarasota, Florida, and today was my day to work outside. It was about 95 for the majority of the day, but at this point in late July, I'm pretty much used to it.

I figure I have until about 11 before I'm no longer able to do anything useful, so I'm going to hit the Modern React Bootcamp hard. I'm on Section 4 right now; it covers the introduction to Create-React-App, and since I've already done a couple of projects with CRA, I'm breezing right through this section. The next section looks to be a small project, so hopefully I can post that on Github and deploy it tonight. That would be a good goal for the night, whether or not it's attainable. At any rate, I'm excited to jump into this material and I have a newfound interest in learning by coursework.

If I have any time left over, I plan to clean up my Github account as much as I can. There's a lot of work I have left to do on this to make it presentable, but it's getting better every day. Soon, this will be my main selling point in landing a job in the industry, so this will need to shine. Every second that I have has to be used to move me towards getting into the industry. There a lot of facets to work on, some I haven't even delved into(like Twitter or Meetups), but as long as I make good use of my time, I'm going to get there eventually.

Until tomorrow!
